Baking With Coconut Flour

Coconut Flour is a unique, nutritive and Gluten Free substitute for wheat flours. It's rich in fibre, fat and protein, which means it leaves you filling fuller for longer.

Coconuts - and therefore coconut flour - have a high lauric acid content which, is not only supportive of the immune system and thyroid, but it also promotes positive skin health.

When substituting other wheat or grain based flours for coconut flour it is important to note that coconut flour is more absorbent and therefore the ratios required for cooking will be different. In baked goods, 1 cup of grain based flour is equivalent to 1/2 cup coconut flour – PLUS you will also need to increase the egg content. We recommend using coconut flour based recipes to avoid waste through experimentation!
