Ten Ways To Live Life To The Fullest

In the end we only regret the chances we don't take. Life is a story, so make yours a best seller!

A New Year approaches, and now is the time to step out of the old and into the new. Make a change, take a chance and do everything you can to live life to the fullest.

Your time is now! Amp up your life! Here are a few handy tips to help you start living to the fullest:

  • Create a bucket list and start ticking things off - Challenge yourself, experience the things you repeatedly put off for a lack of time or resources. We will all die one day, do what you can and live in the moment as it is now.

  • Take care of your body – Eat well, sleep well and exercise well. You only get one body in this life so take care of it and you’ll feel better for it too.

  • Take care of your mind – It’s important to find a balance between thinking, reflecting and relaxing. Dedicate a portion of your day to down-time but don’t spend every free hour doing things which require little mental activity such as watching reality TV or checking sports scores. Reflection is a vital component to a healthy mind and to a constructive life.

  • Plan for the future but live in the present – While planning for the future (to ensure a sustainable life) is important, don’t sacrifice all of the present. Find a way to enjoy life as you work towards bigger and better things.

  • Do work you love – Not everyone gets to play football or be a chef for a living, but there is a job out there that you will love waking up to in the morning. Keep looking for it, and don’t give up until you find it. Life is too short to dread and fear Sunday evenings.

  • Simplify - The less you need the happier you’ll be.

  • Ignore the things you can’t change.

  • Overcome laziness - Do you have big dreams and goals? Do you often unknowingly miss out on adventures and life experiences due to sheer laziness or for the fact that it’s simply just easier to remain seated on the couch watching television? A little procrastination is natural, but if you look back on the last few years of your life and don’t see any changes, you probably need to work on overcoming your laziness!

  • Stop giving up – Everything worth doing requires motivation and effort. Things are always hard before they get better, but you never know how close you really are to achieving your goals if you quit before you see the results.

  • Surround yourself with the type of people you’d want to be – Surrounding yourself with great people who desire similar things in life as you will set you up for success. You’ll find that if you’re surrounded by positive and driven people their vibes will radiate on to you.
